1957 September 15
Printed caption affixed to back of photograph reads: "Seals Stadium, September 15, 1957, the last afternoon of P.C.L. baseball in San Francisco. In meaningless games to all but Bud Watkins, Sacramento pitcher, who was trying to keep his ERA on the season below 3.00. His teammates played nonchalant baseball, and although Watkins won the game, he allowed seven earned runs and watched his ERA jump to 3.22."
