traband articles as specified in Pub-


lie Proclamation No. 3 of Lieut. Gen.


John L. LeWitt are warned to de-


liver such items to the custody of


the nearest office of the U. S. Em-


ployment service before midnight,


Tuesday, March 31.


In San Francisco, the VJ. S. Em-


ployment Service office is located at


1696 Mission street, door 4.


Specific articles of contraband


are: Firearms, weapons or imple-


ments of war or component parts


thereof, ammunition, bombs, explo- |


sives or component parts, shortwave


radio receiving sets having a fre-


quency of 1750. kilocycles or great-


er, or 540 kilocycles or less: radio


transmitting sets, signal devices,


codes or ciphers and cameras.


Criminal penalties of a year's im-


prisonment or $5000 fine, or both,


will be sought against any nisei


found with contraband after mid- |


night Tuesday, and aliens will be}


subject to internment, the warning |


pointed out.


All persons were requested to re-


port any known violations to the


nearest police office or agency.
